This year’s theme is ‘Amrit Kaal in Shipping’, which focuses on giving thanks to the men who spend countless months at sea, conducting the majority of India’s trade and commerce on a global scale. In 2019, the theme was “Indian Ocean-An Ocean of opportunity,” which highlighted the importance of the Indian Ocean for the global economy.
